FYE Employees Are Promoting April 5 As The Release Date For The Force Awakens Blu-ray

We’re just about as close to April 5 being the release date for The Force Awakens as we can possibly be without receiving an official announcement from Disney/Lucasfilm. This date has been posted then removed from Blu-ray.com as well as Amazon over the past several weeks.

Now we get the following report (and supplied image above) from an article posted on Furious Fanboys that links to a forum post on Blu-ray.com showing a badge that employees at FYE are wearing promoting April 5 as the Episode VII Blu-ray release date. Here’s the text from the forum post:

For what it’s worth, I was at FYE today and when I went up to the counter, the first thing the employee asked me was if I “want to put a pre-order down for the new Star Wars which will release in April”. His exact words. I asked if he was sure it was coming out in April and he said yes. I know anything can happen between now and then but I’m just reporting what I was told. So definitely take it with a grain of salt.

Let’s hope this level of promotion by FYE results in Disney/Lucasfilm releasing the official Episode VII Blu-ray announcement soon. Very soon.
