We open the second doors of the LEGO City, LEGO Disney, LEGO Friends, LEGO Harry Potter and LEGO Marvel Advent Calendars.
LEGO have been releasing Advent Calendars for two decades now, celebrating twenty years for LEGO City, thirteen years for LEGO Friends, six years for LEGO Harry Potter, four years for LEGO Marvel, and the very first year for LEGO Disney.
Let’s take a look behind today’s door of each to see what they bring (click on the images for a closer look)…
LEGO City (#60436)
Behind the second door of the City Advent Calendar we get a small excavator clearly built from just eleven pieces (with two spares).
LEGO Disney (#43253)
To go with yesterday’s microdoll, today we get a small part of Moana’s home Motunui, based on the real-life islands of Moorea and Huahine in Tahiti. It’s constructed from just ten pieces (with two spares), and features a printed tile with a similar design to Moana’s necklace.
LEGO Friends (#42637)
Behind the second door, Paisley gets a piano and stool, built with eleven pieces and one spare, featuring a festive decoration on the top of the piano.
LEGO Harry Potter (#76438)
The second day of the LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar brings us a statue of the Gryffindor lion built from fourteen pieces (with one spare), giving yesterday’s Gryffindor shield with stand a purpose, with the lion able to sit atop the plinth. I’m not sure it looks very lion like, but it’s good to have something different included in this year’s calendar, and I expect we’ll see these for all four of Hogwarts houses.
LEGO Marvel – Spider-Man Themed (#76293)
Following on from yesterday’s Spider-Man minifigure with lacklustre three-piece web, today brings us a standard pack of nine web pieces allowing our superhero to spin webs far and wide, giving him the ability to catch villains with ease. Not the most inspiring build, but needed to help bring the character to life.
