Brian Herring, who brought to life numerous creatures and droids in the sequel trilogy including BB-8, is the second guest attending Echo Base Live XVII: Galaxy of Creatures, taking place at the Kingfisher Shopping Centre in Redditch on October 11th, 2025.
Brian is an English puppeteer and actor who performed BB-8, the Porge, Fathiers, and numerous other creatures and droids in the sequel trilogy. He appeared alongside fellow BB-8 puppeteer Dave Chapman as a Resistance Officer in The Last Jedi. He also worked as a creature and droid performer (including SE-2) in Rogue One, and played Hirang Birren in Solo, as well as puppetry and suit duties in Andor series 2, The Acolyte and several forthcoming projects.
Away from Star Wars Brian has worked on many films including Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, The Conjuring: Last Rites, The Muppets:Most Wanted, The Worlds End, Prometheus, Hellboy 2, 28 Weeks Later, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, and Muppets Treasure Island as well as numerous TV shows and live events.
