Today marks the sixth day of the 2021 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar (#75307) and we take a look what’s behind today’s door. We also take a look at the Harry Potter (#76390) and Marvel The Avengers (#76196) calendars!
This is the eleventh year of the LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar and for the first time we get a single themed calendar based around the Disney+ show The Mandalorian.
Following yesterday’s disappointing advent calendar build, today we get a mini-build of the Imperial Troop Transport created with eighteen pieces, and five spares. The vehicle looks splendid and is instantly recognisable using a variety of elements, our only complaint being the cockpit viewing area which should be much narrower.
As an added bonus, for the third year running we delve into the Harry Potter advent calendar which this year explores Harry’s journey from his aunt’s house to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, as seen in the first book/film the Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
Day six brings us our second minifigure, following day two’s Harry Potter, and we get an exclusive version of Dudley Dursley, Harry’s first cousin. The minifigure is dressed in blue/white striped pyjamas, features the curly pig tail that is given to him by Hagrid, and has a double sided facial expression. He looks great and is a welcome addition to the Wizarding World.
There is another…. following the success of the Star Wars and Harry Potter Advent Calendars, LEGO have introduced a Marvel The Avengers Advent Calendar for the first time.
Following yesterday’s barbecue we get another food related item today, based on Tony Stark’s request for a cheeseburger after returning from his captivity. The mini-build is created using fourteen elements, with two spares, and features a diner table, wine glass and burger. It looks great, although a little tenuous with regards theming (unless you know your MCU history well).
