Duncan Fegredo is a celebrated British comic book artist and illustrator whose distinctive career spans some of the most acclaimed titles in modern comics, as well as major film productions.

Fegredo first established himself in the British comics industry, working on titles including CRISIS, before making his US comics debut with Kid Eternity. His subsequent work with writer Peter Milligan for DC Comics’ Vertigo imprint included the critically acclaimed Enigma, as well as Face and Girl. He has also worked on Judge Dredd, Shade, the Changing Man, Lucifer, Jay & Silent Bob and Spider-Man.

Perhaps best known to modern readers for his collaboration with Mike Mignola, Fegredo became one of the defining artists of the Hellboy universe, illustrating Darkness Calls, The Wild Hunt, The Storm & The Fury, The Midnight Circus and Giant Robot Hellboy. He also co-created MPH with writer Mark Millar for Image Comics.

Fegredo’s talents have also taken him beyond the comic page and into feature filmmaking. He served as Lead Storyboard Artist on Darren Aronofsky’s Noah (2014), bringing his experience in visual storytelling and sequential art to the development of the film.

For Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016), Fegredo joined the film’s Art Department as a Storyboard Artist, contributing to the visual development of Gareth Edwards’ first standalone Star Wars feature. His name appears alongside some of the production’s leading concept artists in the official production credits.

With a career that effortlessly crosses comics, illustration and cinema, Duncan Fegredo brings a unique perspective on the art of visual storytelling — from the pages of Hellboy to a galaxy far, far away.

Duncan Fegredo will be appearing as twelfth special guest at Thank The Maker this October, celebrating 10 years of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
