
Award-winning feature film editor Col Goudie is the thirteenth guest confirmed as attending Thank the Maker, in celebration of the 10th anniversary of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, at St Swithun’s School in Winchester, Hampshire on October 17th, 2026.
Duncan joins previously announced guests including ILM visual effects professional Claudio Bassi, Electronic design and development supervisor Matt Denton, vice president of visual effects at Lucasfilm TJ Falls, comic artist Duncan Fegredo, Andor’s lead graphic designer Barry Gingell, Andor’s season 2 graphic designer Tereza Hudkova, senior animatronics designer Josh Lee, Andor’s visual effects supervisor Scott Pritchard, graphics designer Dominic Sikking, Lucasfilm’s vice president of physical production Adam Teeuw, hand props and weapons painter Rut Villamagna and property master Jamie Wilkinson.

Col Goudie BFE is an award-winning feature film editor with a remarkable career spanning more than four decades across film and television. With over 47 years of experience in the industry, Col has worked on an extraordinary range of productions, helping to shape stories from the cutting room and bringing together performance, pacing, sound and imagery to create the finished films seen by audiences around the world.
Their extensive credits include Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016), Gareth Edwards’ landmark entry into the Star Wars saga, as well as Argylle (2024), Tetris (2023), To Olivia (2021) and Monsters (2010).
Col enjoyed a particularly significant creative partnership with director Gareth Edwards, collaborating with the filmmaker for more than 11 years across a number of projects. Their work together included Monsters, the ambitious independent science-fiction film that helped establish Edwards as one of the industry’s most exciting new directors, through to the vastly different scale of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
More recently, Col has worked extensively with Producer and Director Matthew Vaughn and MARV Studios, contributing to a number of major productions. Their career has also seen a longstanding collaboration with filmmaker Mitch Jenkins and legendary graphic novelist Alan Moore, including projects that demonstrate Col’s ability to move between mainstream blockbuster filmmaking and more experimental, visually distinctive storytelling.
Col is a Governor of the British Film Editors (BFE), where they actively champion diversity, equality and inclusion within the editing community. A passionate advocate for the craft of editing, Col has also lectured on film editing across the globe, sharing their extensive experience and insight with both established professionals and the next generation of filmmakers.
Col Goudie’s career represents nearly five decades at the heart of cinematic storytelling, demonstrating the vital and often unseen art of the editor in transforming hundreds of hours of footage into the films that audiences experience.
