LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2021 – Day 8 (Inc. Harry Potter and Marvel The Avengers)

Today marks the eighth day of the 2021 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar (#75307) and we take a look what’s behind today’s door. We also take a look at the Harry Potter (#76390) and Marvel The Avengers (#76196) calendars!

This is the eleventh year of the LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar and for the first time we get a single themed calendar based around the Disney+ show The Mandalorian.

After eight days we finally get a second minifigure following day’s 3 Stormtrooper and it’s a Tusken Raider. As with the Stormtrooper, no weapons are provided with the minifigure which is a bit of a dissapointment. This is the same minifigure we’ve seen in previous sets since 2020.

As an added bonus, for the third year running we delve into the Harry Potter advent calendar which this year explores Harry’s journey from his aunt’s house to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, as seen in the first book/film the Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

Day eight brings us a pub table to go with yesterday’s Leaky Cauldron sign. It’s a very simple build consisting of just a couple of pieces, two mugs and a bottle, and it’s not very inspiring.

There is another…. following the success of the Star Wars and Harry Potter Advent Calendars, LEGO have introduced a Marvel The Avengers Advent Calendar for the first time.

Today brings us a bench for wrapping presents that connects to the Iron Man Hall of Armour from day 3. The mini build includes squares of green and gold paper, scissors and some red wrapping paper, ingeniously making use of a car door! The build has been created using fourteen pieces, with just two spares.

Note: the scissors seem to have become unclipped at some point in our photos.

Joins us tomorrow at 16:38 GMT (11:38 EST) for a look behind Day 9’s doors.
