Today marks day twelve, the half-way point of the 2021 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar (#75307) and we take a look what’s behind today’s door. We also take a look at the Harry Potter (#76390) and Marvel The Avengers (#76196) calendars!
This is the eleventh year of the LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar and for the first time we get a single themed calendar based around the Disney+ show The Mandalorian.
Day twelve brings us a TIE Fighter, to battle with yesterday’s X-wing, created with just eleven pieces and a couple of spares. It’s a simple but effective build.
As an added bonus, for the third year running we delve into the Harry Potter advent calendar which this year explores Harry’s journey from his aunt’s house to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, as seen in the first book/film the Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
Behind todays door we get the cart that carries Griphook, Harry and Hagrid down to the vault in Gringotts. It only has space for two minifigures which is a shame, but it would need to be much bigger to accommodate all three, but despite this it looks fabulous. It is built from fifteen pieces with two spares.
There is another…. following the success of the Star Wars and Harry Potter Advent Calendars, LEGO have introduced a Marvel The Avengers Advent Calendar for the first time.
Today we get an excellent looking helicarrier created using 21 pieces, again with a just a couple of spares. It looks fantastic but unlike some of the previous builds it has not relation to the previous day which was a Thanos minifigure.
Joins us tomorrow at 16:38 GMT (11:38 EST) for a look behind Day 13’s doors.
