Today marks day sixteen of the 2021 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar (#75307) and we take a look what’s behind today’s door. We also take a look at the Harry Potter (#76390) and Marvel The Avengers (#76196) calendars!
This is the eleventh year of the LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar and for the first time we get a single themed calendar based around the Disney+ show The Mandalorian.
Behind the sixteenth door we get the speeder from the first season of The Mandalorian operated by an astromech droid mounted at the front of the vehicle. The vehicle is seen on screen when the titular character tries to escape Nevarro after recovering The Child from the clutches of Dr Pershing. The simple, yet effective, build is created from thirteen pieces with one spare.
As an added bonus, for the third year running we delve into the Harry Potter advent calendar which this year explores Harry’s journey from his aunt’s house to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, as seen in the first book/film the Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
Day sixteen continues the Diagon Alley purchases with Hedwig, bought for Harry by Hagrid, a printed 1×2 tile which represents a ticket for the Hogwarts Express, a chocolate frog and a random (one of sixteen) collectible wizard card.
There is another…. following the success of the Star Wars and Harry Potter Advent Calendars, LEGO have introduced a Marvel The Avengers Advent Calendar for the first time.
We get some sort of Snowman in every LEGO advent calendar, and the inspiration behind the sixteenth door of this calendar is obviously Iron Man, featuring an arc reactor and an all white helmet — its looks great! It has been created from nine pieces with a couple of spares.
Joins us tomorrow at 16:38 GMT (11:38 EST) for a look behind Day 17’s doors.
