Today marks day twenty-one of the 2021 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar (#75307) and we take a look what’s behind today’s door. We also take a look at the Harry Potter (#76390) and Marvel The Avengers (#76196) calendars!
This is the eleventh year of the LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar and for the first time we get a single themed calendar based around the Disney+ show The Mandalorian.
Following yesterday’s IG-11 without any weapons, today brings us the expected weapon rack with two rifles. Three weapon racks so far in this year’s calendar, and these very much feel like fillers when so many other builds could’ve been included instead. If this is the way things are going to continue, then I hope this is the last time we get an advent calendar for Star Wars. It is built from thirteen pieces with a couple of spares.
As an added bonus, for the third year running we delve into the Harry Potter advent calendar which this year explores Harry’s journey from his aunt’s house to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, as seen in the first book/film the Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
Behind today’s door we get a table from Hogwarts Great Hall packed with food including a baguette, cherries and a pumpkin. It’s a fine addition to this year’s calendar and matches the two tables we got in the 2019 calendar. It’s built from twenty pieces with four spares.
There is another…. following the success of the Star Wars and Harry Potter Advent Calendars, LEGO have introduced a Marvel The Avengers Advent Calendar for the first time.
Day twenty-one brings us a miniature version of Iron Man’s Hall of Armour created with nineteen pieces, a couple of spares. It looks the part and recreates the recent Iron Man Armoury set (#76167) well, although in that set we had a printed Iron Man suit and it’s a shame we don’t get those here.
Joins us tomorrow at 16:38 GMT (11:38 EST) for a look behind Day 22’s doors.
